John Kerry laps up the applause of the adulatory crowd at the Democratic Convention in Boston. He shamelessly milks his military hero status, announcing he's "reporting for duty". To the squeamish British palate, this speech would have been better received in the vomitarium. The crowd seem intent on raising him to god-like status, but this god seems to want to be all things to all people. This reminded me of multi-limbed Hindu deities.
