Ken Livingstone makes
an angry remark about Nazi camp guards to an Evening Standard
reporter, who turns out to be Jewish. The reporter takes umbrage.
Ken refuses to apologise, claiming that the remark was certainly
offensive but not racist, and that he has been the subject of
a 30-year campaign by the Standard and its sister paper The Daily
Mail to discredit him at every turn. Livingstone is isolated as
everyone from the GLA to the Prime Minister demands that he apologise.
He refuses. Where are all his liberal friends now? The only person
in vocal support is Tory MP and Spectator editor, Boris Johnson.
Just what he needs.
