The political campaigns begin to
hot up in the US. All Democrat candidates are unified in at least
one thing (despite their previous weasely support for the invasion);
that the war in Iraq has now become untenable and that troops
should be withdrawn. The anti-war sentiment has become their
motherhood-and-apple-pie-issue. Bush's bottom-scraping popularity
had made him an easy target. This is a pastiche of a Gillray
print (The Political Banditti Assailing The Saviour of
India), drawn for an exhibition at the Political Cartoon Gallery. |
