'Tis the season to be treasonous,
it seems. Memoirs of happy days around Downing Street flood out
like summer rain from Cherie Blair, Michael Levy and John Prescott.
All contain passages which are damaging to the already wounded
Gordon, and all have been expensively and extensively serialised
in the press, natch. Blair himself has also secured a lucrative
book deal for the Big One (his memoirs) apparently, although
they won't be appearing yet-awhile. The image is a pastiche of
a Veronese painting in the National Gallery
depicting "unfaithfulness" - one of a series of "Allegories
of Love". What can cuckolded old Gordy do except sit it
out? |
