It begins to look like Obama is getting some lift - some clean blue air between him and the desperate, old-timey look of McCain. MaCain has chosen the born-agin, gun-totin', moose-shootin', "pro-life" Alaskan "hockey mom" Sarah Palin. You betcha. This, at first, looks a bit like a foot-shooting moment. What's worse, McCain can't struggle free from the dreadful legacy of Bush, whose record is pulling the whole thing down like a lead weight.
