Sir Fred "The Shred" Goodwin, unrepentant ex-boss of Royal Bank of Scotland in its glory days of ruining the British banking system, retires at the age of 50 with an annual pension of £650,000 per year. Nice. This fact is revealed on the same day that the staggering losses incurred by Fred's sound stewardship amount to approximately £24 billion last year. What an impressive performance...he obviously deserves a good retirement package for that. The hoodie and finger refer to another spunky character in the news - 13-year-old dad Alfie Patten - who defiantly donned a similar hoodie-and-finger combo this week after negative press coverage.
